In & Out Of My Life
Great vocals (& vocalists) are timeless & are constantly being rediscovered
by each new generation of DJ’s, vinyl junkies & the record buying public. Classics like Adeva’s “In & Out Of My Life” are an example of how a record which was originally released almost twenty years ago, can keep
being reinvented time & time again and still continue to sound fresh and new.
Following her successful release on Easy Street in February, 1988, Adeva covered the Otis Redding masterpiece “Respect” which was picked up by
Chrysalis Records & went on to become one of her biggest hits & “In & Out of My Life” was then licensed from Easy Street for Adeva’s 1st multi-platinum selling album. Another 5 years pass and Roger S, one of dance music’s hottest DJ remixer/producer’s, decides to remix one of his all time favorites. The result is an entirely updated, pumpin’ S-Man style jam which is an immediate club hit.
Fast forward to September, 1999 & wouldn’t you know it, yet another producer /remixer (UK based) has done another slammin’ joint - this time with “Onephatdeva” (guess who that is) performing “In & Out of My Life”.
