Ivan Chevere is the CEO of M.A.T.E. TRAXX Production Company and has been in business in the Music Industry for over 20 years. With a successful track record Ivan Chevere has been an integral factor in the creation of music productions for many of the industry’s most influential labels in both English and Spanish markets such as Tommy Boy Records, RCA Records, Next Plateau, Jive Records, B-Boy Records, Philadelphia International Records, SPY Records, Metropolitan Records and many other international record labels such as Prestige Records, BMG/EMI Records, Universal Records, H.O.L.A. Records Echo Records, Easy Street Records, Smack Records and many more. Engineering and Producing from his state of the Art Recording Studio in Sanford, FL, Ivan Chevere has pre-mastered many new releases. He has produced and remixed historically renowned funk/pop group Kool & the Gang where he was the top sound engineer for four years on their world tour. Ivan Chevere has also produced Juvenile, co-founder of “Cash Money Click,” and some of the newest rap artist sensations in the industry right now such as Lil Flip, Trina, Pete Pablo, E 40 and the Young Bloods. In the Latino market Ivan has produced Brenda K. Starr, a pop and salsa icon. He has produced and remixed for Prestige Records artist George Lamond and is responsible for many of Easy Street’s CD compilation albums (“Pure Blaze”, “Decade of Dance”, “Cream of NY Garage”, Celebration – A Soulful House Journey” etc.) and has worked extensively with Smack Productions (Adeva, K-Yze, Michael Watford and many other dance music legends. In addition to engineering for many of NYCs major Record Labels he has been part of the Easy Street Records team since the late '80's and has remixed tracks for De’Lacy; Shawnee Taylor, Lisa Hunt, and most recently, IPO. Another recent project features Anita Colon, a new upcoming Christian music sensation. If M.A.T.E is not recording, engineering or producing, while on his world tours, he is directing and supervising the accuracy of stage sound for performances. Such sound checks include the bands of Hootie and the Blowfish, Gerald Levert, Kid and Play, Run DMC, Gangstarr, Rakim and Public Enemy etc. Not only has he made certain that sound quality for the Artists he has worked with is as pure and accurate as possible during their performances, Ivan has also made the sound quality for many promotional events even more error proof. Promotional events include Super Bowl XXX and Super Bowl XXXI. Such sponsors and promoters for the on tour bands included radio stations like Hot 97, La Mega 97.9, 98.7 Kiss FM. TV networks like, HBO and MTV as well as product companies like Budweiser, Pepsi and Snapple. He has also worked with such notables as Marly Marl, Mario, Kid Capri, Doug E. Fresh, Uncle Luke from 2 Live Crew, KRS One, and has delivered some excellent new versions of Juvenile’s 1st album to Warlock Records. A recent project features the releases by one of the most influential, and top of the charts, record breaking club music group and extraordinary talents of Tommy Boy Records T.K.A. & will be followed by an album featuring the well known member of T.K.A, K-7. He also recorded for the multi-platinum soundtrack featured in Eminem’s film “8 Mile”. When he’s not busy working on projects for major record labels, M.A.T.E. spends time producing for Henry of Aventura, Magic Juan and Proyecto Uno, the top selling Latin Music groups who have created hits like “Tiburon”, “Latinos”, “Mueve Las Caderas”, “Obsession” and many other hits which have been translated to other languages such as Italian and Brazilian. In addition to being the groups Executive Producer on their new albums, he is also in charge of stage performing sound during their many world tours. If that were not enough, Ivan Chevere has also made his mark in the film and Broadcasting industry. He began by doing sound for the controversial, based on a true story film, “Lean On Me”. MATE continued by re-mixing the theme song for the number one rated hit TV series “The X-Files,” He has also been the stage sound coordinator on the SinBad Live in Jamaica HBO special and has also worked on engineering the score of Spike Lee’s film release, “Home Invaders.” Other production projects include: sound production coordinator for The Rolling Stones, Gamble and Huff, legendary producers and founders of Philadelphia International Records responsible for the “Philly Sound”, Dick Scott Entertainment, Managers of New Kids on the Block, Miguel Mateos, an Argentine Rock Artist, Club and Salsa sensation George Lamond, the R&B group 4-P.M., Soul 4 Real, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Boyz to Men, Christina Aguilera, Shakira, Sheala E., Nelson Gonzalez (one of the main guitar players for Mark Anthony and Gloria Estefan), and Latin groups like Oro Solido, Fulanito and many other Artists. Recording Studio Designer Consultant to Marly Marl (House of Hits), Rizza from Wutang (36 chambers), Sugar Hill Film and Recording Studios and many others, MA.T.E. has been involved in monitoring the creation and maintenance of many state of the art recording studios. Ivan has also collected over30,000 exclusive, rare, and out of print records, including music from the 60’s,70’s, 80’s, 90’s.. M.A.T.E. is a specialist in sample detection with an extreme long history of sample clearances including clearing such names as Mariah Carey, Naughty by Nature, TLC, Heavy D and the Boys, “The Matrix” movie, and many others. When Ivan Chevere is not hard at work producing albums, he spends his time working with innovative software companies such as Propeller Heads, Emagic, Novation and others , beta testing their software and hardware. His expertise and contribution to this area in music production has changed the formats of how music is engineered today. M.A.T.E.is also a head administrator to some of the biggest private audio and video servers known on the internet as advisor to many other producers, programmers and engineers around the world who face varied engineering dilemmas.
